Behavioral Scientists turned app creators.

20 years ago, a team of behavioral scientists had a brilliant idea—create a simple device that would help kids of all ages stay on task. They invented a box with a red and green light, that parents could change depending on their child’s behavior. The low-tech, electronic device was a breakthrough at the time as it replaced the yelling and nagging from parents, with clear, effective communication. Without the aid of apps or cell phones, parents were given a way to consistently communicate their expectations in a compassionate way.
Fast-forward to today, and those same scientists have created Carrotology, a supercharged version of their original device. Carrotology takes the green light/red light concept and combines it with app-based learning for real-world rewards.

Get ready to say goodbye to constantly reminding your child to stay on task. Carrotology is more than just a to-do list app; it’s a complete system for helping kids build healthy, lifelong habits. It’s perfect for parents, therapists, and schools who want to work together to help Carrot Kids have a better day, every day.

Merill Winston, PH.D., BCBA-D, Lead Carrot Analyst

Merrill Winston,
Ph.D., BCBA-D

Lead Carrot Analyst

In his 35 years of consulting in private homes, clinics, and classrooms, Dr. Winston quickly realized that many behavior problems shared a common factor. They tended to happen when individuals, often faced with big challenges, had little or no motivation to tackle those challenges. Dr. Winston has seen both successful and unsuccessful motivational systems and understands where these systems fail and why.

Carrotology allows Dr. Winston to help more kids and families than ever would be possible through individual case consultations. It has allowed him to take the power of the lessons learned in homes and schools and give that same power to parents through technology.

Start improving your child’s life today.
